NPI Connects

NPI Connects is a new effort by NPI to raise awareness of resources within the Nashville community and to strengthen and build connections with local organizations and service providers. This year, a local non-profit organization will be featured each month.

The featured non-profit for June is Nashville Cares (nashvillecares.org).

Nashville Cares is the leading community-based AIDS service organization in Tennessee. The organization has provided education and services since 1985, and more than 45,000 adults and youth receive education to reduce the risk of HIV infection, annually. Nashville Cares also offers persons living with HIV/AIDS, their families, partners, spouses, and significant others a wide range of information, support, resources, and services. Free services, such as, case management, counseling and therapeutic support, and transportation to appointments, are available. There are also programs for short-term financial assistance and assistance with medical and dental insurance for those living with HIV/AIDS.

If you are interested in learning more, offering financial support, or volunteering with Nashville Cares, please visit their website or call 615-259-4266.
